You don’t need to fit perfectly into any of the groups below. These will give you an idea of the types of people I usually work with and help you put words to what you’re looking for.
I think Sun Salutations are great and everything, but I’m not so interested in that. What I really want is to loosen up my legs, hips, back, and shoulders and become the most flexible person I know!
GENTLE AND CHANTING
My whole body hurts. I spend so much time in positions that aren’t great for my body and I can feel how my stress gets stuck right in my muscles. I don’t care about doing those fancy yoga tricks. I want my body to feel good again! Please just chant and sing to me, help me relax, and make my body feel better!
AM I DOING THIS RIGHT?
My foot goes where? I’m really into this yoga thing, but when I’m in class I’m never sure if I’m doing it right. The teacher is always correcting me and I’m just not sure why. I figure if I’m going to do this, I want to do this right! Please help me understand where everything goes and help me get the most out of my practice.
EXPAND AND GROW
I’ve been practicing yoga for a while now and it’s an important part of my life. I’m looking for a new way to be inspired and fed. I want to weave more of the yogic lifestyle into my practice as well as deepen and expand my asana practice. Please challenge me and and help me grow!
